I started my journey of martial arts from school time as I was never particularly interested in studies and always looked only towards sports activities

I started off with Yoga and then my interest shifted on to being an athlete, 100 meters’ sprint, high jump, 400 meters hurdles being my forte.

One day i saw some guys practicing kicks and punches, wearing white uniforms and i I got to know that it's a form of martial arts called Taekwondo. . I had an instinctive feeling that this is what my true calling was I i told my family about my decision and especially my mother was really supportive and my martial arts journey kick started.

Yoga helped me with my flexibility whereas my athletic background helped me with my endurance and strength and within a few years i got many recognitions in Taekwondo competitions

Was just focusing on my training day after day and year after year, when one day I got a call from Ram Gopal Varma, who somehow found out about me to ask if i could come to Mumbai to meet him.

That one meeting with him changed my life and made it take a very different turn... RGV is obsessed with Bruce Lee and his philosophy and through Rgv’s understanding of him. I too got hooked onto BRUCE LEE and started learning the particular fighting style of Bruce Lee called JEET KUNE DO to prepare myself for my role in LADKI

No one in the world, ever can be BRUCE LEE but I am thrilled with the opportunity of getting to do the role of BRUCE LEE’S biggest fan in my debut film LADKI

As Bruce Lee himself said, we are all here for a short time in life and the best times of our lives are even more shorter ..Being wise is not only for one to live one’s life in the best way possible, but it is also to live it in a way, what you yourself think is best for you.

It is impossible that any of us can satisfy everyone else around us and actually in the process of trying to do that is, when you will lose your own individuality and your uniqueness.

I consider my body and my fighting skills as my most valued possessions along with my dedication and my perseverance

All these I take them as God or nature given attributes and i worked very hard on making them my strengths.

First time ever on screen, I am getting an opportunity to show my body not just as a sensual female body but in a power equation as much as male action stars like Tiger Shroff, Hrithik Roshan etc and here I have an opportunity to make a style statement on behalf of all like-minded women  

I believe that a woman’s ultimate weapon is being a woman and that includes her sensual quotient and that also is a truest example for the ultimate woman empowerment

Woman empowerment is not about equal opportunities for a woman at work, but it’s also about treating her sensuality with respect and give it it’s due respect.

Through my photos, videos, songs and films, I want to push the limits of my capacity to make powerful weapons out of every part of mine whether it’s my body or my spirit or my skills or my sensuality by applying an intense but extremely disciplined determination.

Ram Gopal Varma’s Tribute to Bruce Lee – Releases Trailer of Indo-Chinese Production Ladki: Enter The Girl Dragon

Scaling the Great Wall with the Indo-Chinese production, veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is back with his most ambitious and, incidentally, also the most expensive film of his career with Ladki: Enter The Girl Dragon. 

The first Indian film to release in China after the Galwan standoff between the two superpowers, Ladki: Enter The Girl Dragon is proof enough that martial arts and cinema have reunited India and China. 

RGV who becomes the first filmmaker to scale the Great Wall and release his film on the other side of the border along with releasing it in India and abroad put out the trailer of the film called Ladki in Hindi and Dragon Girl in Chinese on his official YouTube channel. The trailer has been garnering awe and appreciation from audiences and film industry members alike!

"Like Sarkar was my tribute to The Godfather, Ladki - Enter The Girl Dragon starring Pooja Bhalekar is my Tribute to the greatest martial arts film ever made in history Enter The Dragon starring the iconic Bruce Lee," said RGV.

Anupam Kher joins BMC’s 'Be A Tree Parent' MEGA Vriksha Campaign

 

Actor Anupam Kher planted trees, expressed solidarity and set an example to citizens by becoming a tree parent. With this move, he became the latest celebrity to join Hon. MP Smt. Hema Malini, Ranvir Shorey and son Haroon Shorey, Anil Kapoor, Amit Behl, Dr. Aneel Kashi Murarka, Saniya Saiyad, Ashnoor Kaur, Advait Mote and MLA Shri Ameet Satam who are all proud tree parents!

World Environment Day 2021 marked the start of BMC’s ‘Be A Tree Parent' MEGA Vriksha Campaign. Instituted by the K West Ward Asst Commissioner Mr. Vishvas Mote, along with Anusha Srinivasan Iyer of Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation and Vriksha Nursery, the campaign involves and encourages societies and residents to adopt tree pits from the 348 Mumbai locations where trees had fallen in the K West Ward, post Cyclone Tauktae, and replant identified, fast-growing native tree species in those locations.

"I would like to stand next to this tree we planted and get my photo clicked today. As fifty years from now, when this tree is in its full splendour, it will make me very proud. I am here to motivate those who are making the difference. The BMC who is initiating this much-needed move, organisations like MEGA and Anusha Iyer, and the citizens who are taking this movement forward by adopting trees. We must plant at least a thousand trees in this area to make up for those we lost. If you need me anywhere, anytime to plant a tree, I will always be there," enthused Anupam Kher.

Added singer-entrepreneur Saniya Saiyad, "I feel very privileged to be a part of this movement where we strive for a greener planet. I am grateful that Anupam ji, the BMC and Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation have enabled me to leave behind greener footprints."

गायिका सानिया सईद पर्यावरण दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में गाएंगी 'तुझ से नाराज़ नहीं जिंदगी'

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में गायिका सानिया स ईद लता मंगेशकर का फिल्म 'मासूम' के लिए गाया गाना 'तुझसे नाराज नहीं ज़िंदगी' को रीक्रेएट करने का फ़ैसला किया है. उल्लेखनीय है हाल ही में सानिया सईद ने पर्यावरण के संरक्षण और संवर्द्धन के लिए पौधारोपण के अभियान में भी अपनी हिस्सेदारी दर्ज कराई है.
सानिया सईद कहती हैं, "मूल रूप से गुलजार द्वारा लिखित, आर. डी. बर्मन द्वारा संगीतबद्ध किया और मूल रूप से लता मंगेशकर का गाया गाना 'तुझसे नाराज नहीं ज़िंदगी' पेड़ों और पर्यावरण को बचाने की ज़रूरत से संबंधित भावनाओं को अच्छी तरह से व्यक्त करता है. हमारे लिए पर्यावरण को बचाना बेहद जरूरी है क्योंकि हमारा पूरा अस्तित्व ही पर्यावरण पर टिका हुआ है."

उल्लेखनीय है सानिया पर्यावरण को लेकर इस गाने को फिर से गाने जा रही हैं मगर उनके गाने की शैली में कोई बदलाव नहीं होगा. सानिया कहती हैं, "मैं लता जी के गाने सुन सुनकर बड़ी हुईं हूं. गायिकी के मामले में वो मेरी आदर्श रही हैं. मैं उनके ही गाने को फिर से गाकर उन्हें अपनी ओर से आदरांजलि देने जा रही हूं. मुझे उम्मीद है कि लता दीदी इसे सुनेंगी और उन्हें ये गाना बेहद  पसंद आएगा." वो आगे कहती हैं, "मैंने इस गाने को इसलिए चुना क्योंकि इसमें लाखों लोगों को प्रेरित करने की ताकत छिपी है."

This World Environment Day, the trees at K West Ward, Mumbai saw the BMC breathing new life into them. Asst Commissioner Mr. Vishvas Mote along with Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation has started ‘Be A Tree Parent - Adopt A Fallen Tree Pit’ Campaign to involve societies and residents to adopt one of the 348 fallen tree locations in K West Ward and re-plant the same with an identified fast growing tree species.

The move comes in the wake of Cyclone Tauktae’s damage to the green cover of Mumbai, with 2363 trees being uprooted and innumerable others losing their branches.

Involving celebs who expressed their desire to motivate the masses, Mote, along with Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, the founder of Make Earth Green Again Foundation and Shaan Lalwani of Vriksha Nursery, organised a simple yet effective tree plantation act at three locations in JVPD Scheme at the hands of actors Anil Kapoor, Amit Behl and Ashnoor Kaur, along with philanthropist Dr. Aneel Kashi Murarka and singer-entrepreneur Saniya Saiyad and Paramjit Singh Ghai of JVPD Coop Housing Association. The trees planted were the indigenous Nagkeshar, Sita Ashok, Tamhan and Undal trees.

Said Anil Kapoor, “Trees are a part of my life. The trees that fell due to the cyclone were right outside my house and I have adopted them. I am glad that Vishvas Mote ji, Asst Commissioner BMC has taken this initiative to replant the trees by garnering people’s support in coming forward to adopting the tree pits.”

Dr. Aneel Kashi Murarka assured that he would ensure green footprints, Ashnoor Kaur promised to personally plant at least a tree a month and spread the word among her fans, Amit Behl said that he would use the CINTAA social media handles to ensure that more trees are brought to life, safeguarding the city’s green cover. Saniya Saiyad confessed that she had already started planting more than five trees a day since she started off with the campaign.

Added Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, “We are glad that the BMC initiative is bringing forth public support from throughout the city and people are willing to adopt trees and be tree parents. We have citizen’s groups planting trees aided by the BMC. We have young kids like Haroon Ranvir Shorey and Advait Mote who are adopting trees and taking on the responsibility of becoming tree parents of today and guardians of the green of tomorrow. This spells the blooming future for the Tree Parent Project.”

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस से पहले बीएमसी में के वेस्ट के असिस्टेंट कमिश्नर के तौर पर कार्यरत विश्वास मोटे ने मेक अर्थ ग्रीन अगेन (MEGA) फ़ाउंडेशन के साथ मिलकर 'बी अ ट्री पैरेंट - अडॉप्ट से फॉलेन ट्री पिट' अभियान की पहल की है. इस अभियान का मकसद इमारत की सोसायटियों और व्यक्तिगत स्तर पर लोगों को हाल ही में आए ताउते तूफान से के वेस्ट वॉर्ड में  उजड़ गये 348 पेड़ों की जगह पर आरोपित किये जानेवाले और तेजी से उगनेवाले नये पेड़ों की जिम्मेदारी लेने के लिए प्रेरित करना है.

उल्लेखनीय है कि इस अभियान की शुरुआत ऐसे वक्त में की गई  है जब ताउते तूफ़ान के चलते मुम्बई में 2363 पेड़ जड़ से उखड़कर गिर गये थे और सैंकड़ों पेड़ो‌ं की शाखाएं भी टूट गईं थीं.

ऐसे में विश्वास मोटे ने मेक अर्थ ग्रीन अगेन (MEGA) फ़ाउंडेशन और वृक्ष नर्सरी के सहयोग से एक ऐसे अभियान की शुरुआत की जिसमें सेलिब्रिटीज़ भी काफी दिलचस्पी दिखा रहे हैं. इस कड़ी में अब रणवीर शोरी और उनके बेटे हारून शोरी ने भी इस सरल  मगर प्रभावी अभियान में हिस्सा लिया. दोनों के अलावा गायिका और एक आंत्रप्योनर के

तौर पर अपनी पहचान रखने वाली सानिया सईद ने सीता अशोक नामक पौधे का रोपण किया. उल्लेखनीय है कि उसी जगह पर पहले वड का एक विशालकाय वृक्ष हुआ करता था जो ताउते तूफान के असर से गिर गया था. इस ख़ास मौके पर स्थानीय नगरसेविका प्रतिमा ताई खोपाड़े, बीएमसी में के वेस्ट वॉर्ड के सहायक आयुक्त श्री विश्वास मोटे, मेक अर्थ ग्रीन अगेन (MEGA) फ़ाउंडेशन की अनुषा श्रीनिवासन अय्यर, वृक्ष नर्सरी के शान लालवानी और 'अडॉप्ट के फॉलन ट्री पिट' के नोडल अफ़सर व बीएमसी के स्टाफ़ योगेंद्र कांचवाला भी उपस्थित थे.

बीएमसी में के वेस्ट वॉर्ड के असिस्टेंट कमिश्नर विश्वास मोटे ने इस मौके पर कहा, "माननीय सांसद और अभिनेत्री हेमा मालिनी द्वारा इस अभियान का उद्घाटन किये जाने के बाद से बड़े पैमाने पर स्थानीय

लोग पेड़ों का अभिभावक बनने में रूचि दिखा रहे हैं. हमारे वॉर्ड की हरियाली बढ़ानेवाले इस अभियान में नागरिकों की इस तरह की सहभागिता बेहद उत्साहजनक है."

मेक अर्थ ग्रीन अगेन‌ (MEGA) फाउंडेशन की संस्थापक अनुषा श्रीनिवासन अय्यर कहती हैं, "पेड़ धरती के फ़ेफड़ों की तरह काम करते हैं. वे कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड को ऑक्सीजन में तब्दील कर धरती को सांस लेने देने में मदद करते हैं और धरती के एयर कंडिशनर की तरह काम करते हैं. ऐसे में बीएमसी के असिस्टेंट कमिश्वर विश्वास मोटे द्वारा ताउते तूफ़ान‌ के दौरान गिरे पेड़ों की जगह पर नये पेड़ लगाने के लिए नागरिकों की हिस्सेदार बनाने की पहल सराहनीय कही जाएगी."

इस ख़ास मौके पर पहुंचे अभिनेता रणवीर शोरी ने कहा, "मैं ये देखकर काफ़ी दुखी हुआ था कि तूफ़ान में इतना पुराना और विशालकाय पेड़ उखड़ गया था. मगर मैं ख़ुश हूं कि अब बीएमसी के‌ अधिकारी उसी जगह पर एक नया पेड़ रोपित करने जा रहे हैं."

इस मौके पर सानिया सईद ने अपनी ख़ुशी जाहिर करते हुए कहा, "मुझे इस बात की ख़ुशी है कि बीएमसी मूल प्रजातियों के पौधों को फिर से रोपित करने का अभियान चला रही है और मैं इस अभियान का हिस्सा बनकर बेहद उत्साहित महसूस कर रही हूं. देसी पेड़ कम मात्रा में पानी सोखते हैं और उन्हें रोपित किये जाने से आसपास का माहौल भी  ख़ुशगवार बनता है."
